Being inspired is something that never stops. An artists has the capability to find inspiration in everything. Sometimes it may strike unexpectedly whilst other times one may be actively looking for it. Finding inspiration with something you already have a strong connection with is one of the easiest things an artist can do. The hard part is transcribing exactly what the source material has inspired.

Sapphic Stories explores lesbian literature through comtempory paintings of people (mainly lesbians), symbols that have homosexual connotations and imagery, and even words, specifically slurs. Nearly every painting has been inspired by some form of sapphic writing e.g. music, short stories and poetry.
